About De Ruimte
Life is too short for boring meeting rooms. De ruimte voor ideeën offers an inspiring location in the monumental Hofbogen, with lots of daylight, a sea of space and the largest whiteboard in Rotterdam. And of course: all technical facilities.
XXL whiteboard
Forget the flip chart. Our gigantic whiteboard of over 25 square meters is the largest in the city. So you can brainstorm endlessly, sketch, write down ideas and work out plans.
Tech support
Are you not technically savvy yourself? Then you can use our tech support to facilitate your meeting or event. All wires connected; we’ll take care of it.
Flexibel indelen
A theatre setup, a square of tables or an empty floor; it is all possible. We have enough tables and chairs to create any desired layout for you.
Food and drinks
Good coffee and a tasty sandwich do wonders for your brainpower. That’s why we use a professional Italian espresso machine with the best beans from Rotterdam and we’re happy to bring you snacks or a delicious lunch.

Mindful start of the day
Start the day well with a session that brings awareness, focus and energy.
Applying mindfulness ensures a high level of awareness and attention. This provides more peace, overview, positivity and concentration; a perfect basis for a productive work session. The mindful day start contains a few accessible meditation exercises that are suitable for everyone. The duration of this activity is 20 to 45 minutes, depending on your wishes.
'The Delay’ and ‘Hike & Space’ walks
These walks through Rotterdam Noord are guided by Het Onverharde Pad. Their mission: to make people look differently at their surroundings and therefore also at themselves while walking. ‘De Vertraging’ covers part of the route ‘Zo oud als de weg naar Kralingen’. Nature, culture, architecture, history and reflection are central to ‘De Vertraging’. New ideas guaranteed!
Participants in ‘Hike & Space’ receive a headset and take a walk together. An ambient soundscape tuned to the route accompanies them. An inspiring journey for the senses.

Cooking workshop
Want to end the session with a culinary activity? You can! In the Greek cooking workshop, for example, you will make the most delicious delicacies from the different regions of Greece together. Prepare your own spanakopita, tiganites, kolokithopita, bougatsa, revani or kourabiedes, based on pure ingredients, including many vegetables, in a professional kitchen. Afterwards, you will of course sit down together at the table to eat everything deliciously. Maximum 14 people.
Thai Chi Chuan workshop
The Thai Chi Chuan workshop is provided by an experienced teacher specialized in the original Yang style. The workshop consists of relaxation exercises, various tai chi forms and exercises in pairs, in a specially designed room. This workshop brings relaxation and alertness to body and mind. The perfect basis for an effective work session.
Coaches and facilitators
Do you know what you want to achieve during your meeting, but do you still need a good facilitator? We have a broad network of experienced facilitators, trainers and supervisors who have everything in-house to ensure that you can take important steps. Whether it is a creative session, a strategic session, a positioning scan, a brainstorm, a name storm, a process or dialogue meeting: we offer the right facilitator for every goal.
Moving forward with the right energy
Would you like to record your program, meeting, insights, outcomes or plans in an inspiring way? So that you can continue to take steps with the right direction and energy after the meeting? Then you’ve come to the right place. We regularly use illustrators, photographers or filmers to capture the essence of your session. We create (online) magazines, campaigns, websites, apps and other communication tools. Everything to help your organization move forward.
Flexibility is our top priority. We offer you a space of over 70 m2, plus an adjacent break out space of over 20 m2. We are happy to tailor the layout of these spaces to your wishes. Would you prefer a large conference table with chairs? Do you prefer separate tables or an empty space? Daylight, work light or mood lighting? Do you need tech support? Do you want to broadcast a live event with green screen, various cameras and professional lighting? Everything is possible.
The space is suitable for meeting setups (up to 40 people), for theatre setups or free arrangements (up to 50 people). The layouts below give an idea of the current possibilities. Other layouts are of course also possible.

From €350 per half day, for up to 12 people.
From €440 per half day, for up to 25 people.
The above rates include coffee, tea, juice, soft drinks and fresh fruit.
The morning half day runs from 9:00 to 13:00, the afternoon half day from 13:00 to 17:00. Do you need the location for a shorter or longer period? Location and accessibility
You can find us in the monumental Hofbogen, in the heart of Rotterdam Noord. Our location is easily accessible by public transport: a ten-minute walk from Rotterdam CS, or a two-minute walk from the tram stop. It is also easy to reach by car: in a few minutes you drive from the ring road to De Ruimte voor ideeën.
The address is: Vijverhofstraat 114, Rotterdam. Paid parking is available in front of the door (zone 710) or in the Eudokiaplein parking garage.
